SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
Companies & Troupes
The World of Mime Theatre (WMT) lists companies and troupes of two or more members whose work is primarily mime-based. In order to maintain the focus of its listings on Mime Theatre, WMT does not list
all theatre groups who include some Mime in their work, nor groups who heavily combine Mime with other theatre arts and styles such as dance, acrobatics,
clown, juggling, magic, etc. Many companies define their work as physical theatre, and such companies will be considered based on the importance of Mime in their work.
WMT promotes Mime as a theatrical art, and therefore lists companies who perform their work primarily on theatre stages, rather than as street performance, or at corporate or private functions or events.
Mime Artists
The World of Mime Theatre (WMT) lists solo Mime artists whose work is primarily mime-based. In order to maintain the focus of its listings on Mime Theatre, WMT does not list
all artists who include some Mime in their work, nor those who heavily combine Mime with other theatre arts and styles such as dance, acrobatics,
clown, juggling, magic, etc. Many artists define their work as physical theatre, and such artists will be considered based on the importance of Mime in their work.
WMT promotes Mime as a theatrical art, and therefore lists artists who perform their work primarily on theatre stages, rather than as street performance, or at corporate or private functions or events.
